Micro Concentrated Solar Power From Sopogy – a Green Energy Seminar

by Lee on October 27, 2011

Google Tech Talks September 18, 2008 ABSTRACT Sopogy is bringing smaller concentrated solar energy systems to the market: Process heat, air conditioning, and power generation. You will hear about the first renewable energy and solar technology to ever be awarded the New Product of the Year by the Society of Professional Engineers. A product will be set up for viewing. Speaker: Al Yuen

150+ Fox News Bias videos at www.youtube.com Fox News reporter Laura Ingle’s story about a New Jersey power company’s installation of 200000 solar panels on utility polls heavily concentrated on the views of critics, even talking to local critics while ignoring twice as many local residents gathered who supported solar panels, to falsely frame the issue as the people vs the power company and state mandates, as I show in this video. The clips I show of Laura Ingle, the residents of Dumont, NJ, and Paul Rosengren of Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) come from a longer segment of Fox News’ June 8, 2011, broadcast of “Happening Now” which is available online at bit.ly The image I use of my previous video titled “Fox News Hates Trains?” comes from the YouTube video player page at www.youtube.com The image I use of the PSE&G’s FAQs on solar panels comes from bit.ly

Free energy has been here for a while ,But the powerfull Oil business won’t alow common ppl to know this,Go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and get the blueprints for a genuine magnet motor ,Be the revolution!

affluenceclm October 27, 2011 at 5:07 pm

Free Energy is real and its here but the coverup is strong, if you are interested in a REAL free energy machine then

just search for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in the youtube video search , it is probably the ONLY working magnet

motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!

Unfortunately with all the weather-mucking creating cloudy skies, the sun is a much missed stranger in upstate New York.

:_( I miss the sun. I love the sun. The sun is the source of life and energy for us, it TOTALLY makes sense.

Also, why use thermal energy to create electricity just to then generate thermal energy.

Also, eliminating transmission by locating the solar device on or near the building is just so reasonable and obvious.

I volunteer to be a test subject 4 residential

When we just throw money at them for free it doesn’t count for much when they pay back some paltry loan amount. Stop aiding israel. start Aiding america….. We Spend 25 billion nation wide on education and , so why should we be giving $5 billion for nothing AND on top of it waste money with military assets posted/dedicated to protect them

Bigbird5553 October 27, 2011 at 7:52 pm

are you kidding? ISRAEL itself is a made up country given to jews by the brits. The brits who never owned it anyhow.. .and the last time they had the land was when the romans were around. On top of the fact the jews themselves agreed not to extend their borders, and 3 years later? they extended them into palestine. Jews can claim a right to it, but let them at least fight for it themselves. That means NO $140 billion dollars(total so far) in American military aid.

phxfreddy October 27, 2011 at 8:29 pm

Yah and the Jews do not do needlessly violent things either do they? Not like the Arabs who lie endlessly with no apparent purpose other than to maintain their petty fiefdoms. Pathetic.

I think I’d be watching more toward the facist side of trying to take over the world if I were you.
Thanks, and have a great second citizenship. Try a glass of wine it will lower your blood pressure dude. Sorry everyone for all of this non relevant discussion.. Over and out!

sugarpuddin88 October 27, 2011 at 9:31 pm

1Batt – All of this is a moot point

The USA is bankrupt & Oct 1st US Military troops are training to fight American citizens

US owes 96 trillion it has plundered & pledged to SS & Medicare

US plundered another 53 trillion from other trusts

US owes 10 trillion interest to a bunch of private bankers it allows to print money out of thin air

US owes on 12 trillion Freddie & Fannie; US owes untold to Bernanke’s buddies on Wall Street

US is over and done with!

Thank god for my 2nd citizenship!

1Batt – In re: Kentucky — Rural areas like Kimper, KY have no running water

“Several times a day, Roger Thacker hauls 5-gallon buckets of water about 50 yards uphill to his mobile home so his family can bathe and do laundry”

In re: Zionism – I will simply point you here:

watch?v=NpXn1SfGp6M

Every bullet fired in the back of the head of a non-jew is bought and paid for by the USA; as are the helicopter and their bombs

1Batt October 27, 2011 at 10:06 pm

Propaganda…Are you from E. Kentucky? I have family and friends near that area..Know what you are talking about dude.. Just making comments isnt good enough.. Israel is the ONLY country in the Entire Middle East to completely repay the USA back of borrowed money. That is a commonly known fact. How about showing the statistics of what you are talking about with the ” 5 Billion” free dollars. Thanks, feel free to reply back to me when you do so.

sugarpuddin88 October 27, 2011 at 10:34 pm

The USA “gives” Israel 5 billion “free” dollars a year

Meanwhile, nearly 50% of the people in Eastern Kentucky are without running water

Obviously Zionist rule America

RechargeEarth October 27, 2011 at 10:36 pm

informative post, thanks!

1Batt October 27, 2011 at 10:59 pm

Israel is the ONLY country in the middle east to ever REPAY its LOANS to the U.S. know what you are talking about.. the other arab countries dont pay back their loans to us we just give and give and give… lets stop doing that or make them repay their loans instead of forgiving their debt constantly under pressure from the Saudiis..

meg33y October 27, 2011 at 11:11 pm

getting back to electricity production.

I believe that currently they use mirrors to focus the sun onto the surface of a solar panel. I was curious as to if its posible to create a translucent panel?

If this is possible then a parabolic mirror could also be placed behind the panel to send the same rays back through the panel creating twice the output and doubling efficiency.

meg33y October 27, 2011 at 11:30 pm

Even having a small entrance point with a spherical mirror behind it to make the sun rays hit the panel multiple time rather then just the once it does currently. Then using the current mirror focusing system they use now to focus the light through the small opening.

If the clear panel is possible this could create far higher outputs then currently seen. I know this is based on something that is yet to be made but its still an idea.

I love Google tech talks.

energysmartnews October 28, 2011 at 12:32 am

Google could use MicroCSP as a solution. Save energy, save money, reduce carbon footprint, green up data centers.

HateNeverCeasesHate October 28, 2011 at 1:09 am

great presentation so far. (10 min in)

sugarpuddin88 October 28, 2011 at 1:12 am

If instead of sending 5 billion free dollars to Israel every year to kill people, the USA gave grants for battery development, then we would be some where with these technologies!

Oh yeah! The Government is making money off oil

Did you know that according to a Presidential Order, American’s cannot invest in Iraq – Only Bush and his buddies can invest (steal) Iraq

sugarpuddin88 October 28, 2011 at 2:06 am

LEDs are approaching 100% effective (i.e., little lost to heat)

sugarpuddin88 October 28, 2011 at 2:39 am

Basically EDISON was a business man stealing technologies from people like TESLA (who by the way died bankrupt)

ReeT0ric October 28, 2011 at 3:35 am

Whilst not typically high-tech in nature, this is the sort of solution to the impending energy catastrophe that we should all be embracing. Lobby your government, local government (in partucular) for ‘solar friendly’ policies that put the private individual first.

TwoNerdyMarines October 28, 2011 at 4:30 am

Well I agree that it’s stupid to argue that they’re bad because of looks. I’d be arguing more that they cost more than they’re worth. Look, if these “green” energy solutions worked so well, they wouldn’t need government subsidies. I’m all about replacing big oil. I have no investment in it. But we need something real that actually works, and until then, we need oil. I don’t think anyone would argue that it’s going to take a long long time to replace oil completely, and until then, drill drill!

MrHesseKopp October 28, 2011 at 5:13 am

doesn’t FOX news always cherry-pic ?

jazzy07rocks October 28, 2011 at 5:15 am

it’s entertaining, eye-opening, but above all else, DEPRESSING how much this guy proves that people are idiots….. -__-

luizcadu October 28, 2011 at 6:12 am

Good video, and I’d say renewable energy is more than just an environmental concern. Oil dependency is the main reason for the wars US is bringing on the Middle East, and it is one of the main causes of the crisis of the rich countries (the US trade deficit is mainly because of oil).

DupreDouglas66 October 28, 2011 at 6:22 am

It should be first in the rankings

slocal75 October 28, 2011 at 6:34 am

Fox is all around disappointing. Yes, the report was biased, but it was also retarded. The could have talked about the cost/benefit of the panels (great you get a little bit of electricity, but how much was the installation, how much maintenance will be required, is this the best use of our money in a country with failing infrastructure, etc.), or any number of real issues. But Fox prefers their retarded ask-the-neighbor method.

golfist01 October 28, 2011 at 7:03 am

Oh I forgot to point out the most obvious of this idiots video. THATS NOT LAURA INGALL…… but it does allow one to understand better the I.Q. Of those that go along with this site B.S.

golfist01 October 28, 2011 at 7:10 am

After reading many of the comments on this video and subject, it’s no wonder that there are “BUMS” being paid to carry signs, walk around and chant, and defecate on the streets if our cities. I once really didn’t like nor respect a lot of the little people doing these things. Now, I pity them, for they will be victims of their own stupidity and ignorance for being used and manipulated by those that are actually at blame for most of our problems. So, march on little soldiers, right off the cliff

adda241 October 28, 2011 at 7:34 am

alskdjlkfjsadlkjflksa FUCK FOX NEWS

golfist01 October 28, 2011 at 7:48 am

How bogus … You obviously have little or no real education or taste. Melt snow ? Do you really expect anyone with any sense to believe that ????

fuck fox and by the way fuck you Laura

she odiously ask a who punch of old people that don’t care about living there life’s anymore because they lived it already…. maybe she should ask young people about what they think…. im pretty sure there aware will be there awesome, changing the world for the best !!! ignorant lady!!!!!

Rangsantable October 28, 2011 at 9:03 am

Fox biased

thinkagainst October 28, 2011 at 9:53 am

I have said it before and i will say it again; FUCK FOX NEWS !!!

dcdawgfan1 October 28, 2011 at 9:58 am

@nevrest. No, what it proves is that reporters are different and the circumstances surround a solar power story are different. I can defend the concept of solar power while thinking those panels on those poles in NJ just look freakin’ stupid. If I support solar power does that mean I’m NEVER allowed to be critical of anything related to solar power?

nevrest October 28, 2011 at 10:07 am

@dcdawgfan1 Ok, so you proved that Fox News can’t make up its mind about solar power. In any case, they shouldn’t be making opinions at ALL, the job of any good news team is to provide unbiased facts.

dcdawgfan1 October 28, 2011 at 10:13 am

Wow, a quick google search of “Fox News on Solar Power” and in about 30 seconds I found multiple articles and a couple videos where Fox News was very positive about the advances in solar power technology and the jobs it is creating. Seems like the moron that made this hack video is just as good at cherry picking as he accuses Fox News of being.

aghzizo October 28, 2011 at 10:13 am

Fox news is a Zoinist channel…there is no fair,,they dont want even to ask the one who support solar power

brongarago October 28, 2011 at 10:37 am

Stop being so stupid fox news, please.

AmericaJustin October 28, 2011 at 11:23 am

I Drove by those this Year.

Didn’t affect my driving.

Gibsaurus October 28, 2011 at 11:30 am

What’s with the harping on the “supposedly straight reporter”? Is that relevant in any way to the issue at hand? Let’s leave the logical fallacies and character attacks to the professionals, here.

JeromeLaserface October 28, 2011 at 12:23 pm

New solar panels are being design that are smaller. The Cosmedics of Solar Panel design will be address. The opposer of solar panels will soon run out of reasons to complain about renewable energy…

SoulDevoured October 28, 2011 at 12:36 pm

Yup. Its a conspiricy. Fox News supports the oil companies. Who support oil consuption. Which in turn means they support green house gasses and therefore support global warming. Which means oil companies indirectly support mass heat waves which will kill thousands.

Therefore Fox News supports killing thousands of innocent people.

gjaddajg October 28, 2011 at 1:03 pm

As always; fair and balanced.
